This handsome surface printed geometric wallpaper has been faithfully re-produced from the original which was likely to have been created using the more labour intensive method of hand block printing wallpapers pre 1839. After the mechanisation of printing, production in Britain rose from around one million rolls in 1834 to nearly nine million rolls by 1860. This stylish classic geometric is offered in seven chalky colourways and printed on a non-woven matt heavyweight ground for ease of hanging. Whilst little history is available from this wallpaper found in the English Heritage archive, the team at Designers Guild were drawn to the modernity and architectural form of the design. (Wallpaper - Width: 52cm, Vertical Pattern Repeat: 52cm, 65.00 per roll)
Although every effort has been made to ensure that the fabrics on this site are as close to the original cloth as possible, please be aware that the appearance of the fabric can vary from screen to screen. This is due to the inherent difficulties in creating accurate representations of fabric in a digital format. We would strongly recommend referring to our pattern books and swatches or requesting fabric samples before selecting a fabric.
Sheen Upholstery Ltd strongly advises against the use of any further chemical treatment. Such treatments may adversely affect the wearing qualities and general performance of the fabric. We regret therefore, we are unable to accept responsibility for any fabrics treated by a third party in this way other than in its original manufacturing process.
